Luck o'the negro

Forgive me if i'm just slightly annoyed by the negroes I spotted donning green hats, beads and shamrocks for St.Pat.s day cuz the parade wuz today.. I mean come on thats a day of the year that has absoloutely nothing to do with "the blacks" so why participate in the festivities.. I had a talk wit my mom on how they had us kids so brainwashed and whitewashed back in the day.. I can clearly recall being in grade school and having to wear green on that day, competing with the other kids on who had the best green outfit, cutting out shamrocks, and making plans to go to the parade. And i'm sure that in schools across america lil black kids in all black schools wore green and cut out shamrocks to celebrate the day..

Not to be offensive to the irish folks, be proud, do your thing, and enjoy, but "the blacks" are the first ones to look @ cha all kinds of sideways and get salty if you call em African or suggest they put on some african clothing to celebrate their own damn heritage.. Lil black kids can't tell ya nothing about africa other than thats where the slaves came from, but are shamrocking it up and puckering up to kiss the blarney stone.. Ain't that a bitch..

I told mom that if somebody walked up on one of those irish folks and called em anythang other than irish that they would probably haul off and knock the teef outta somebody's mouth.. Standing there dressed up in all their irish green glory, drunk as a skunk, shamrock hats and whatnot, things would be violent as hell if I called one of em Chinese or Greek.. But "the damn blacks" will knock ya in the mouth for callin em anything remotely in the region of Africa.. "I'm an american damnit" (yeah but so is that Irish guy with the shamrock hanging outta his ass, talkin bout kiss me i'm irish) Errybody else is proud of their heritage, gotta damn near beat "black folks" over the head with a kente-cloth belt before they even think about being proud to be African.

Perhaps i'm just a lil testy cuz black folks don't get a parade, and if we did it would probably be extra ignant.. Folks would be gettin crunk when LilJohn's float went by, and there would be a random shooting or sum shit.. Fantazia would probably sing that babymommaanthem for all the single mommas at the parade and somebody would get mad and cuss out their babydaddy on the celly.. All kinds of random ruckus would occur.. So I guess its good "the blacks" don't have a special holiday and parade.. But I damn sure won't be kickin it dressed in a green kilt at other folk's parade.. Until we get Kunta-kente day and can march down the street in african garb, it's just not going down with me.

You know I don't think my black ass has one article of green clothing. So when I get pinched this year I'm gonna remember every person that did it and kick them in the ass next year on MLK day when they can't come up with a significant black accomplishment!

honestly i forgot it was St. Patty's...and i sure walked past the river yesterday, like 'why is this mug green?"...lol

i'm first generation Nigerian-American (igbo pride!), and the nat'l flag is green and white...so i can get down with the green, but it definitely won't be in the form of a clover.

i do kind of shake my head at black folks with clovers on their faces and stuff...but those tend to be the same ones that keep going on about being 1/25,000th Cree Indian and whatnot...so i just let 'em be.

LMAO @ the vision of Lil Jon's float in the Black Folks Parade... Girl you are a mess :-) but I feel you though. Since I don't participate in ANYTHING around this piece, my Black Woman Protest in the form of me wearing no green will probably go unnoticed.

Corned beef and cabbage is the shiznit....Do they still dye the river green in the Chi? Blacks here in Cali don't really get into St. Patties day like back home in Chicago...When I 1st moved here to San Diego I asked a girlfriend if she was making corned beef and cabbage...she said"what? i'll make some neckbones and cabbage on Sunday" LOL
